Here's some good news...
GOD IS NOT MAD AT YOU!
There are a lot of ideas, a lot of different conceptions about God. Among them is that God is angry at us. Because of this idea we spend our lives ignoring God, hiding from God, or trying to appease God's anger through good works!
Even when people were ignoring God or hiding from God, the Father was seeking after them. Yahweh revealed Himself to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Rahab, Deborah, David, the Hebrew prophets, and many others found in the Scriptures. In fact, you could say that the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is a recorded history not of man's search for God, but of God's search for mankind! God the Father, Yahweh, revealed more and more of Himself to each generation until Jesus came into the world to show us in the flesh the love of the Father for His children.
In Jesus, the only true God, Yahweh, the Creator, became flesh and lived in the earth as one of us. He did this to show His great love for us. Jesus performed many signs and wonders openly displaying the love of God toward you!
At the last, Jesus was crucified and died, as prophesied in Jewish Scriptures, as the final sacrifice in your place.
But that is not the end of the story. Jesus was raised again from the dead by the work of the Holy Spirit!
Today, right now, Jesus is alive, and He wants to make Himself real to you.
"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest (make Myself real) Myself to him." John 14:21.God loves you so much that even while you rejected and mocked Him, Christ died for you.
"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)," Ephesians 2:4-5.But God didn't stop there! The Bible also says that God made Jesus Christ who knew no sin, to be sin for you, so that you might be made the righteousness of God. ALL of your sin and rebellion, ALL of your hate and bitterness, ALL of your rejection and weaknesses, ALL OF YOUR SIN - PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE - WAS LAID ON JESUS! AND ALL OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS RIGHT STANDING BEFORE GOD, WAS GIVEN TO YOU!
Think about this: God is not holding your sin against you! By the sacrifice of Christ, God has forgiven ALL of your sins!
This isn't all! God went one step further. Jesus recieved our sin so we might recieve His righteousness!
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him,"2 Corinthians 5:21
In Jesus Christ you are the righteousness of God!
